 Le Bar sur Loup

Villa Les Lucioles is an amazing holiday property in the south of France.
It enjoys a picturesque setting with views of the mountains and the village of Le Bar sur Loup from the garden.

You can walk into the village of Le Bar sur Loup in approximately 20 minutes; all along small residential roads.
The village of Le Bar sur Loup offers many conveniences such as a boulangerie, small supermarket, post office, family style restaurants, comfortable cafes… and also has several well known and high quality restaurants, such as L’ecole des Filles, Le Jarrerie and the L’Hôstellerie du Château.

In addition to the charm and ease of this French village, Le Bar sur Loup is also a nature lover’s dream with wonderful hikes, bike trails and proximity to canyoning, paragliding…
There are several hiking trails that start in this village and loop back around or continue up to the perched village of Gourdon and beyond.

Le Bar sur Loup has many other quaint villages nearby. There is Tourettes sur Loup, Opio, Valbonne, Le Rouret, Roquefort les Pins and the larger town of Grassse. All of these villages are worth a visit during your holiday. They each have their own specific beauty and charm and have cafes, restaurants, shops, boutiques, fresh markets…

One particularly great French village nearby is Valbonne.
It is approximately a 15 minute drive from the villa. Valbonne is well known for it’s lovely boutiques, shops, center square with lots of atmosphere, great restaurants, cafes… There is also a great local market every Friday, which takes over the streets with great local products and food. The summer months bring lots of entertainment as well, such as the circus, movies, music festivals, plays, exhibits…

The villa is approximately a 25 to 30 minute drive to the coastal towns of Anitbes, Biot, Cagnes sur Mer and Villeneuve Loubet. The seaside towns and villages have so much going on in the summer, with great seaside boardwalks, tons of restaurants to choose from, medieval castles and churches, cafes, entertainment, water sports and clubs…

Very large, flat garden, great for families

Villa Les Lucioles has an incredible garden. It is large, approximately 3,000 m2, with lots of flat, grassy areas, which are perfect for running around, playing ball, chase and enjoying the outdoor lifestyle.

It also has wonderful local vegetation, specifically many great, decorative olive trees, which are all over the garden. There are also cherry trees, fruit trees and flowering jasmine…

One area of the garden, has many children’s outdoor toys, such as wendy houses, swing, slides seesaw… There is also a table tennis table in this area.

The pool is large, oval shape. It has a shallow area at one side, that is perfect for young children or just soaking/relaxing in the warm sun in the pool. The pool has wooden decking around one side, with many sun loungers to sunbath on.
At the far end of the pool decking, is a large, shaded outdoor lounge area.

Near the villa, just outside the kitchen and interior dining area, is a tiled terrace. There is a large, granite table under an awning, which can seat up to 13 people. There is also another smaller outdoor lounger area.

The large garden has many different areas where to play, relax, lounge and eat. It has something for everyone in the family and provides lots of great space for larger gatherings at the property.

The villa has a great indoor space

The interior of the villa is very bright and open plan. Most of the villa is on one main level.

There is a large, open plan living/dining and kitchen area. This entire space opens onto both sides of the garden. From the kitchen and dining area, it opens onto the tiled terrace and pool area. From the living area, it opens onto the quieter back garden.

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. It is conveniently located near the interior and outdoor dining areas.

There are 4 bedrooms on the main floor, each of which has an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom opens onto the back garden and has an ensuite with bathtub/shower, 2 sinks and wc. There is another double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms. These bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms with showers.

The 5th bedroom is a great character bedroom in the upstairs tower room. It has twin beds and uses the 5th bathroom on the main floor.

The 6th bedroom is a large downstairs bedroom with large bunk beds (small double bed on the bottom and single on top) and another single bed. It also has an ensuite bathroom.

The interior of the villa is beautifully decorated with light colors and comfortable furnishings. It is spacious and has a very relaxing, holiday feel to the property.
